This is where it starts

Week four is the month
nobody prepares you for
If nobody has told you that week four is a shedding phase, watching your new hair come out feels exactly like the surgery failing. It is not. Every follicle that sheds is still there, resting, and it will produce a new shaft. Knowing that in advance is the difference between a difficult month and a frightening one.
You will be walked through this timeline before you pay, given the same sequence in writing, and called at week ten by somebody who already knows exactly where you are in it.

A hair transplant follows a predictable twelve-month sequence. Crusts clear by day ten, the transplanted hair sheds between week three and week six, nothing visible happens until around month four, new growth emerges from month five, and the result is formally assessed at month twelve. The month-three low point, when the area can look worse than before surgery, is the part most clinics do not show.
